Each year Petfinder provides a list of the most popular pet names for cats and dogs.
Among the most popular cat names, Lucy continued to hold the top spot. Molly, Shadow, Oreo, Smokey, and Angel made the 2009 list again, but 4 new names appeared in the Top 10 for 2009: Midnight, Bella, Daisy, and Charley, displacing Kittens, Princess, Tigger, and Missy from the 2008 list. The 2009 Top 10 cat names were:
